I Have Loved You With An Everlasting Love September 25, 2008

One of the purposes of setting up this website is to spread God’s love. I remember one night in my personal quiet time; I was taking a guitar singing some worship songs. After some time I saw myself crying and crying, tears was running down freely on my cheeks.
I can still remember those words vividly, “I love you just the way you are”. God was in my room. The presence of God was so real. I could feel Him. That moment was so intense; I never had that feeling before.
“I love you just the way you are”, those powerful words penetrated deep down into my heart. I felt loved. It’s not because of what I have done or NOT done, God loves me just the way I am. It’s not because of my look (outward appearance); God loves me just the way I am.
It’s not because of my examination result; God loves me just the way I am. It’s not because of my achievement and success or failure and setback; God loves me just the way I am. In fact, I don’t have anything but God still loves me just the way I am. Great! His love is UNCONDITIONAL. He loves you just the way you are!
I know your parents may ridicule and put you down. They may use such words like useless, good for nothing or you are a failure but it is ok, God loves you. Your siblings may be better than you in all their endeavors but it is ok, God loves you. Your friends may poke fun at you but it is ok, God loves you. Your colleague may achieve more than you do but it is ok, God loves you.
God’s love is UNCONDITIONAL. Unlike the world, you don’t have to earn God’s love. He said, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”
You may be rejected by your loved one. Your spouse may walk out of your marriage. Your parents may lose hope on you. Your teacher may give up on you, your friend may belittle you, you may be the most unlikable person on planet earth, it is alright, God created you, He loves you just the way you are, and it is UNCONDITONAL.
God’s love is different from man’s love. Man’s love is very shallow, conditional, selfish and self-gain where else God’s love is as below:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Next, God demonstrated his perfect love by sending his one and only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. No one actually did that! Only God! God loves you just the way you are!
God loves you just the way you are. Do not get me wrong, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have to work out your flaws and weaknesses but what I am saying is that your flaws and weaknesses will not compromise God’s love for you. He loves everyone and he loves you.
Do not feel rejected, do not feel unloved, you may want to give up, and you may want to end your life but let me tell you, it’s not the end of the world, God loves you…just the way you are! Visit a nearby church, I am sure brothers and sisters would like to tell you more about God’s love.

This is a simple and yet fundamental truth that sometimes elude us because it is made celebral than experiential. Yes God’s love is truly deeper that what we ‘think’ it is. Thanks for sharing Han.
