How to be debt free? March 27, 2007
Posted by Han in : Finance , trackbackIf you are constantly in debt and you have the habit of borrowing, then I want to tell you the sad news. YOU ARE NOT LIVING IN ABUNDANT AND YOU HAVE THE POVERTY MENTALITY.
This is serious. Unless you acknowledge and change certain of your destructive habit, you will forever live in poverty. Isn’t it scary? Though outwardly you may look great but inwardly you are struggling to cope with payment every day. The problem will magnify and multiply when you wanted to advance further, be it in starting a business or starting a family. You will find a heavy load of burden pulling you down!
I would like to list out some practical steps that will help you to overcome this area. You must be co-operative and allow God to work through you.
1) Acknowledge that you got this problem; do not pretend that nothing is happening.
2) Pray to God. Ask God to help you.
3) Transfer everything you own to God in your mind.
4) Work out a budget.
5) Access your financial situation and look at the things you own.
6) List down all your debts. You will not know the reality until you list it down.
7) Think and make a debt repayment schedule.
8) Seek honest ways of finding extra income.
9) DO NOT BUILD UP NEW DEBT.
10) Learn to be happy and contented with what you have.
11) Seriously consider a change in your lifestyle – no borrowing or no wasting.
12) SAVE, SAVE & SAVE.
13) Starts to give and tithes.
14) Seek help from someone whom you can trust.
15) Don’t give-up.
16) Think of ways to reduce your current bills.
After reading these 15 steps, it doesn’t mean that everything is automatically solved. It is only the beginning. You have just started to embark on the road to financial freedom and financial prosperity. Managing finances is very important; it can be a stumbling block in your life. I pray that God will give you the wisdom to clear away all your debts, amen.

It’s true. All the 16 ways listed here were trully practical and work to release me from my financial debt. It doesn’t means everything is automatically solved but once you begin; pray and trust in God. The miracle will happen in our life.
Don’t ask why? But 10% tithes is the most important practice here. I am also wondering how I could squeeze the money to give. But I am still paying tithes constantly nowadays.
