Pray for the release of Korean Hostages’ July 31, 2007
Posted by Han in : Current Affair, Prayer , trackbackThere were 23 South Korean Christians abducted in Afghanistan on the 21 July 2007. They were taken by the Taliban from the main road south from Kabul last week during a humanitarian visit to Afghanistan.
At present, it has been reported that two of the hostages were killed. Last week, the church group’s leader, Pastor Bae Hyung-kyu, was killed and police discovered the body of the second victim, Shim Sung-min, 29, a former information technology worker who was volunteering with the South Korean church group. The Taliban threatened to kill the hostages if eight rebel prisoners were not freed.
Let all Christians and churches around the world regardless of denominations, races and backgrounds to stand up in agreement and unity in prayer.
Let us pray for the success of the negotiations between Taliban and South Korean government.
Let us pray for the immediate release of the Korean hostages and very soon they will be brought to safety.
Let us pray for the families and churches in South Korea who were affected. Pray that God’s comfort will be with them during this painful and sad moment.
Let us pray for God’s love, joy and hope in the nation of South Korea during this difficult and trying period.
Let us pray for the will of God to be manifested through this incident.
LET US PRAY FOR THE REVIVAL IN SOUTH KOREA.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:4-6

Thank God that medicines were able to reach the captives via the Afghan doctors. Pray that the medicines will be the right drugs & that among them they would know how to administer the drugs wisely especially to the 2 seriously illed sisters & among others as well who are in need. God continue to stregthen them & pray that the hearts of the Taliban to be soften, scales in their eyes to drop so that they may see for themselves what sinful act they had committed & hence to repent.
