Are you discouraged in the ministry? No one actually appreciates or recognizes what you are doing. Never mind take heart and be of good cheer – God knows what you are doing.

It is alright if you do not have any reward on earth but I am pretty sure you will have it when you are in heaven. Do not be too concerned with things on this earth. Set your attention on heaven. Therefore, do not give up. Be faithful, keep going and keep serving God. He will rewards you. Take a look at the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25:21-22.

What are the rewards?

1) Commends and praises
His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant!” – Matthew 25:21

This is the best reward you can ever received – commends and praises from God. Nothing else, this is what you want to hear from God at the end of the day, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Why are you serving God so hard? To impress man or to please God. If it is to impress man then you will end up in discouragement and frustration. If it is to please God then it doesn’t really matter if no one is noticing. Remember, rewards come from the Lord.

2) Multiplication
You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. – Matthew 25:21

The next reward is God will add to you more responsibilities. When you are faithful, He will put you in charge of many things. But if you are unfruitful, it will like the third servant where God take away his only talent and give it to the first servant.

3) Entering into the master’s joy (delight)
Come and share your master’s happiness! – Mathew 25:21

What happen to the third servant? He was cast out into the darkness, where there was weeping and gnashing of teeth. The other two enter into the master’s joy. The reward is to enter into the kingdom of God and experience the joy of God.

Finally, do not give-up nor be discouraged. Continue to serve God. Rewards are from God, amen.
